Awesome by Default is a blog about the things that entertain and motivate us, a collaboration of insanity, amusement and growth. Your day is made up of 1,440 minutes, and we invite you to spend five (or more) of those minutes here. The site was created to run as an on-going commentary of the world we live in with a focus on the everyday bits of culture, food, and oddities that make life great.
What makes Awesome by Default qualified to write about this? There are many reasons, but here are the five best:
- 1. This site isn’t crowd-sourced. While the wisdom of crowds can be great, good editorial has one strong voice. There is one author per post. Read more about the writers on the staff page.
- 2. The staff has a journalism background and knows how to pull a story from the ether.
- 3. Awesome by Default isn’t a link farm. While there are many links, they’re only used as citations or resources.
- 4. The site addresses all the elephants in the room (by name). There is no shame in calling anyone or anything out.
